Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies to support manufacturing.
• Interface with management regarding changes in material or delivery schedules.
• Analyze requisitions for proprietary items and determine alternatives.
• Request and analyze quotations for specifications compliance.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and associated documentation.
• Collaborate with technical personnel during the design process.
• Assist in vendor selection and negotiation.
• Investigate new products and processes through vendor interviews.
• Visit vendors’ plants to understand capabilities and resolve issues.
• Support expediters with difficult deliveries.
• Facilitate conferences between vendors and company employees.
