A leading electronics manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to oversee procurement processes, control inventory, and manage supplier relationships. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business administration, along with proven procurement experience, preferably in the EMS industry. Candidates should possess strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in IFS or similar ERP systems is essential for this position.

Oversee procurement channels to support new projects and mass production and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
Maintain and update a rolling three-month procurement plan on a weekly and monthly basis, including cost, quality, delivery, and production lead time reviews based on the demand set up by the planner.
Manage the order process within IFS EPR system, ensuring accurate order generation, prompt supplier delivery confirmation, and expediting materials that do not meet delivery timelines.
Control inventory based on monthly sales targets, striving to achieve inventory goals.
Ensure materials procurement meets production needs through effective cross-departmental communication and cooperation.
Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and optimize procurement processes.
Assist in resolving issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
Handle MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and other indirect purchases, develop and streamline process flows, as well as review quotations, issue purchase orders in IFS and follow up open POs.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers and provide timely feedback to the direct superior for any issues.
Monitor market trends and analyze supplier performance.
Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments.
Collaborate with sourcing team on materials costs improvement and suppliers’ evaluation.
Manage procurement records and documentation for transparency and compliance.
Responsible for daily reporting and control of procurement related KPIs, including taking improvement measures to achieve annual KPI targets.
Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management.
Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or related field.
Proven experience in procurement, preferably within an EMS industry.
Proficiency in IFS or similar ERP systems.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage supplier relationships.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia in both verbal and written communication.
