A manufacturing firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an entry-level sourcing officer to manage supplier identification, purchasing duties, and inventory control. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with a diploma in relevant fields and strong computer skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, alongside proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. This position offers a good opportunity to develop a career in procurement.
Identify potential suppliers that meet the company’s standard of price, quality, timing and reliability of supply.
To be responsible for direct and indirect materials sourcing, planning, purchasing and inventory control.
Cost negotiation, quotation comparison and analysis.
To be responsible for purchasing related duties such as purchase order issuance, follow up delivery and payment or etc.
To plan, source and develop new potential supplier.
Prepare monthly purchasing and inventory reports.
To undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time.
Working experience with steel fabricator will be advantage.
Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/Advance/Higher/Graduate in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management and Logistics or equivalent.
Entry-level position suitable for recent graduates.
Working experience in steel fabricator field will be advantage.
Able to work independently and works as a team.
Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
