Qualifications

To manage and execute procurement activities for construction projects by sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontract works efficiently, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with company policies, project requirements, and quality standards.

Job Scope / Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors based on cost, quality, delivery, and performance.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQ to prepare material lists, schedules, and procurement documentation.
  • Ensure timely procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontract services to meet project timelines.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to support cost‑effective purchasing and savings initiatives.
Tender & Quotation Management
  • Request and evaluate quotations and bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
  • Support tender preparation by providing material, equipment, and installation cost inputs.
  • Highlight risk or non‑compliance issues during tender and quotation evaluations.
Contract & Purchase Order Administration
  • Prepare, review, and administer purchase orders, contracts, and procurement‑related agreements.
  • Understand and apply procurement terms, conditions, and contract principles to protect company interests.
  • Assist in negotiation of prices, terms, and conditions with vendors when required.
Delivery, Logistics & Expediting
  • Track and coordinate deliveries with vendors, logistics providers, and project teams.
  • Expedite shipments, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of materials and equipment.
  • Verify goods and services received against approved specifications, quantities, and quality standards.
Vendor & Performance Management
  • Maintain and update supplier and subcontractor databases, including performance records and evaluations.
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance to support continuous improvement.
General Duties
  • Liaise with project teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by the Company Management as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of procurement experience in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, M&E equipment, and subcontract works; also understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and logistics.
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin will be an advantage.
