Job summary

A leading technology company is looking for a Procurement Executive to perform localization activities and implement cost reduction strategies. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Engineering or Business, possess negotiation skills, and have excellent communication abilities in English and Malay. Experience in procurement or project management is an advantage. This position requires travel and involves sourcing new vendors in Malaysia and ASEAN, requiring strong collaboration with suppliers and departments.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related working experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Technical procurement experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of metal stamping and injection molding is preferred.
• Understanding mechanical drawing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform localization activities by dealing with suppliers.
• Implement cost reduction activities to achieve targets.
• Sourcing for new vendors in Malaysia and ASEAN.
• Negotiate agreements and quotations from suppliers.
• Monitor trading conditions and support other departments as needed.
• Alert on part change information to support daily production.

Job description

• Perform the localization activity by dealing with suppliers and collaborate with other departments to complete activity.
• Implement Cost Down activity in order to achieve Cost Down Target.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sourcing for new vendor in Malaysia and other ASEAN country
• Act as a window person between supplier and company
• Request, handle and negotiate for agreements and quotations from supplier
• Monitor the trading condition. Support to other department when needed
• Perform any cost down activities which required by the management
• Alert on the part change information and act accordingly to support the daily production

Job Requirements:

1. Candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in all Engineering field, all Business field
2. Preferably at least 1 year of related working experience.
3. Anyway fresh graduate is encourage to apply as well, suitable candidate will be consider.
4. Preferably Executive or Engineer specializing in Procurement, Purchasing or equivalent.
5. With technical procurement / procurement engineering experience will be an advantage.
6. Good communication skills in English, Malay. With Chinese and Japanese language proficiency will be an advantage.
7. Basic knowledge of metal stamping, injection molding is preferred.
8. Basic knowledge of understanding mechanical drawing is preferred.
9. This position might involve project management. With related experience and skill will be an advantage.
10. Preferably with SAP skill.
11. Preferably with Microsoft Office skill.
12. This position require travel outstation.
