We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Procurement & Inventory Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement activities, including monitoring inventory levels, processing purchase requisitions, and issuing purchase orders (POs) for both direct and indirect purchases. The role also involves handling shipping documents, arranging payment of invoices, liaising with warehouse teams for stock‑in of materials, performing inventory receiving in the ERP system, and preparing monthly reports for submission to the Singapore HQ.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement
- Manage all procurement activities.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Process purchase requisitions promptly and accurately.
- Issue purchase orders for direct and indirect purchases.
- Handle shipping documents and coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock‑in quantities and accuracy in ERP system.
- Identify slow‑moving or obsolete inventory and implement strategies to minimize inventory write‑offs.
- Assist in mid & end year stock take including reconciliation of stock discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods/services.
- Address any vendor‑related issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and improve overall value.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate regular reports on procurement and inventory metrics, including purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis findings.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory control principles, and supply chain management concepts.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data‑driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
