Job description

Qnnect is looking for Process Technicians due to expansion of business.

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for day-to-day machine and equipment set-up, maintenance and trouble-shooting to ensure smooth manufacturing process to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for machine/equipment/testers set up and maintenance for support of production.
  • Provide technical support and repairs if there is any issue or error found during the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in developing of part assembly process flow and determine process control specifications.
  • Assist in performing of DFAM during new product development in order to make production jobs simpler and more effective.
  • Perform root cause analysis and work on solutions to reduce defects.
  • Monitor all processes with the goal of resolving any issues as efficiently as possible, reducing downtime.
  • Providing technical support to production, work on process improvement in order to improve productivity and production efficiency.
  • Assist on layout setup and utility preparation for installation of new machine/ equipment.
  • Study and consider the safety risk for the tools, machine/ equipment and take necessary action or precaution to ensure the user can work safely with the tools, machine/ equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration with scheduled frequency to keep the machine/ equipment/ tester running effectively and appropriately.
  • Periodically review and analyze the equipment stoppage and down time, and PM calibration frequency of the equipment to ensure effective prevention of equipment failure or faults from occurring during operation.
  • Monitor in house machine/ equipment’s spare parts inventory and raise PR to order spare parts when needed to ensure smooth production.
  • Ensure the compliance to 5S, maintain the facility clean, safe and organized.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Certificate background in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Experience in cable assembly manufacturing is an added advantage.
  • Good electrical and testers knowledge.
  • Good soldering knowledge and skills.
  • Mature, aggressive, hardworking, self-motivated, with a sense of urgency.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English and Malay language.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Disciplined and dynamic team player with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work on shift and support overtime.
