Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a Process / Process Safety Engineer to support engineering and process safety activities for upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will conduct safety studies, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in process engineering and safety. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including process engineering and specialist process safety studies.
• Registered Engineer with BEM (for local candidates).

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in process safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other risk assessments.
• Support process engineering activities, including review of PFDs, P&IDs, and safety-related documentation.
• Identify process hazards and recommend risk mitigation and control measures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.
• Provide technical input for specialist safety studies and support project and operational teams as required.
