Job summary

A leading semiconductor manufacturer in Malaysia seeks a Process/Equipment/Failure Analysis Technician. Your role will involve maintaining and troubleshooting equipment for wafer fabrication, ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Candidates should possess relevant engineering qualifications and experience with semiconductor equipment. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in hands-on hardware work will also be considered. This position requires working in a cleanroom environment on rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description
PROCESS/EQUIPMENT/FAILURE ANALYSIS TECHNICIAN
Job Responsibility
  • To work as an Equipment Technician for wafer fabrication Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) equipment.
  • Perform equipment Preventive Maintenances according to maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures and ensure quality recovery with minimum down time.
  • Prepare daily Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities reports for engineers and supervisors.
  • Maintain equipment spare parts and consumables.
  • Upkeep work area 5S housekeeping at all times.
  • Proactively initiate or participate in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs.
  • For Senior Technician and above, perform as a trainer for junior technicians.
  • For Associate Engineer or Technical Specialist, perform as Shift Leader to plan for shift maintenance activities.
Job Responsibility
  • Assist in implementing process improvement projects.
  • Respond to SPC violation data and carry out annotation.
  • Perform CADET Material Dispositions. The disposition includes of rework, touch-up, visual inspection and escalates issues to MFG and Engineering.
  • Perform new ISRM/CLC process recipe creation.
  • Attend required training sessions to excel in the job. Typical training includes process training, application software training, inline defects monitor system training & SPC training.
  • Execute Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAP) outlined in all OCAP specs.
  • Follow established Operations & Process Specifications and various written procedures.
  • Comply with procedures stipulated in SilTerra Environmental Management System.
  • Ensure safe working environment.

Process Technician: PC/CTM
Job Responsibility
  • Perform lot disposition, hold, release, skip and merge lots
  • Take action on those who failed to adhere fab protocol
  • Escalating line issues to his/her superior and engineering group
  • Line support to other MFG team if needed
Job Responsibility
  • To prepare sample, perform analysis and provide timely data to requestor.
  • To maintain the FA equipment in good working conditions, ensure FA lab in compliance to safety requirements and in good house-keeping.
  • To feedback to supervisor on improved analysis procedures for implementation.
  • To provide hand-on training to FA technicians on FA equipment operation and FA techniques.
  • To participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Skillful in handling and preparation of FA

  • Candidate with experience in Novellus SPEED and SEQUEL, Applied Materials Producer, Ultima HDP.
