Process Engineer Senior Executive (Preferred Mandarin Speaker)
Elite Beauty Asia – Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
As a Process Engineer (R&D), you will be responsible for supporting design, scale‑up and optimization of manufacturing processes for personal care, baby care, and skincare formulations. You will work closely with R&D chemists, production and quality teams to ensure smooth transfer of laboratory formulations into efficient, high‑quality and cost‑effective large scale production processes.
A solid understanding of formulation principles and raw material functionality is essential to ensure smooth process transfer, batch consistency, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for process engineers with a technical background who enjoy hands‑on problem‑solving in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Development & Scale Up
- Translate lab formulations into scalable production processes with robust process parameters (mixing order, time, shear, temperature, viscosity control, etc.).
- Conduct pilot trials and factory‑scale validation runs to ensure consistent quality and performance.
- Analyze production challenges, recommend corrective actions, and refine process steps for improved yield and stability.
- Formulation & Raw Material Understanding
- Collaborate with R&D chemists to understand formulation intent, ingredient functionality, and processing sensitivity.
- Apply formulation knowledge (emulsifiers, thickeners, surfactants, humectants, actives) to determine optimal mixing and heating methods.
- Production & Process Optimization
- Support day‑to‑day manufacturing issues related to mixing, filling, and product consistency.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Production Engineering and Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and parameter accuracy.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain detailed SOPs, manufacturing procedures, and production validation reports.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and company quality policies.
- Maintain technical documentation for audits, regulatory submissions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with chemists, QA/QC, production teams to ensure successful product scale‑up and commercialization.
- Provide technical training and guidance to operators and line leaders to ensure adherence to process parameters.
