Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer with a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. The role involves conducting DFM and process capability studies, designing fixtures, and resolving technical issues during product introductions. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in CAD or SolidWorks, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and 4-5 years of related experience. Familiarity with metal fabrication or machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct/Study DFM, process capability study for product design.
  • Design & develop fixture for existing/new product.
  • Resolve technical issues during NPI/FA preparation.
  • Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows.
  • Utilize process simulation software to test production strategies.
  • Conduct DOE test and evaluate parameter control.
  • Develop and update work instructions for new processes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct/Study DFM, process capability study for product design and requirement.
  • Design & develop fixture for existing/new product and improvement project.
  • Ensure to resolve any technical issues arise during NPI (New Product Introduction) / FA (First Article) preparation stage.
  • Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
  • Utilizes process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies.
  • Conduct DOE test, evaluate the factor that control the value of a parameter.
  • Develop work instructions (WI) for new process and update WI for process improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or 4~5 years related experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD or SolidWorks.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong leadership and interpersonal.
  • Knowledgeable about metal fabrication or machining will be advantageous.
