The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves analyzing production workflows, identifying improvement opportunities, troubleshooting process issues, and implementing engineering solutions to enhance productivity, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product design and production processes are aligned.
- Analyze and optimize production processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Monitor production equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain documentation for production processes, procedures and equipment.
- Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes, procedures and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and quality.
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Undertake other role & responsibilities that are assigned by the company and immediate superior from time to time until full closure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Preferably in low volume high mix metal manufacturing for the semiconductor, automotive or aerospace industries.
- Proficient in 3D, 2D, CAD, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, MES, Total Productive Maintenance, Lean, Six Sigma and PLM.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
