Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to conduct DFM and support product design. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in high-level assembly processes. Responsibilities include designing fixtures, resolving technical issues, and utilizing process simulation software. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related experience in high-level assembly process.
• Knowledgeable about box build integration and process control.
• Experience in jig/fixture fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DFM and process capability study for product design.
• Design and develop fixtures for existing and new projects.
• Support technical issues during NPI and FA preparation.
• Oversee and assess existing processes.

Job description

Conduct DFM, process capability study for product design and requirement.

Design & develop fixture for existing/new product and improvement project.

Support and resolve any technical issues arise during NPI (New Product Introduction) / FA (First Article) preparation stage.

Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.

Utilizes process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies.

Identifying information and solving problem by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities and detecting changes in circumstances or events.

To ensure all PE activities/project are run accordingly.

Qualification

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Industrial Engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 years related in high level assembly process experiences.
• Knowledge of process and mechanical engineering software systems.
• Excellent analytical and math skills.
• Knowledgeable about box build integration, jig/fixture fabrication and process control
• Proficiency in Chinese will be considered an added advantage.
