Overview

We are looking for a Process Engineer who specializes in automotive paint operations. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal paint process performance, quality consistency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the entire automotive paint process — from Pretreatment to Clearcoat stages.
  • Conduct and lead paint defect analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
  • Ensure consistent paint quality control in line with Chery’s global standards.
  • Oversee paint material and chemical handling, ensuring safe and efficient usage.
  • Monitor and improve paint shop equipment performance and oven process parameters to achieve production efficiency and surface quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams to enhance process reliability.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations within the paint shop area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, energy usage, and production costs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in automotive paint process engineering.
  • Expertise in paint process, defect analysis, material handling, and equipment operation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards in manufacturing operations.
