Job description

As a Process Engineer at KYS Energy Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in detailed design of process equipment for the oil and gas industry. This full-time position is based in Puchong, Selangor, and will involve working with a team of multi discipline engineer and project team in execution of the project.

What you’ll be doing

• Design & Simulation: Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Heat and Material Balances (HMB).
• Equipment Sizing: Size separators, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and relief devices according to industry codes. Preparing equipment data sheets
• Operational Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, improve production efficiency, and reduce costs in existing facilities.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct hazard identification (HAZID) and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Procurement and Sourcing: Sending RFQ out to vendor for quotation and follow up during project execution stage.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new process improvements
• Ensuring all processes adhere to relevant industry regulations and safety standards
• Supporting the commissioning of process equipment

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar process engineering role, preferably in the energy industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying areas for process improvement
• Proficiency in using HYSYS or CAD software will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
