Job description
Job Description Summary

Responsible for process capability, cost reduction, and continuous improvement, project implementation within the manufacturing unit. Provides engineering work across disciplines, supports capacity planning, growth, budgeting, and process documentation. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and all safety regulations. Requires punctual attendance, fluent English, and adherence to BD values.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Implements and sustains BD Excellence work process for the manufacturing unit.
  2. Identifies critical equipment settings and creates standards.
  3. Creates technical knowledge for the unit and transfers it to operators and associates.
  4. Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies.
  5. Identifies top losses, develops and implements plans to eliminate them, and drives OEE performance.
  6. Manages manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations.
  7. Leads the team in troubleshooting scrap and waste.
  8. Assists implementation of process and product transfer.
  9. Supports process safety improvement, including health & safety risk analysis and waste reduction.
  10. Other duties as required.
Deliverables
  • Ensure safety of all associates and quality of product.
  • Ensure new manufacturing processes and improvements meet unit objectives.
  • Ensure equipment runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyze equipment efficiency to drive OEE improvement and sustainability.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
  • 2 years in medical manufacturing preferred.
