Job description

Sekolah Sri UCSI Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated and qualified Prinsip Perakaunan, Ekonomi Asas, and Perdagangan Teacher to join our vibrant academic team. The ideal candidate will be able to teach across lower and upper secondary levels, nurturing students’ understanding of commerce-related subjects while promoting critical thinking, analytical skills, and real-world application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for Prinsip Perakaunan, Ekonomi Asas, and Perdagangan in accordance with the KSSM national curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments that support progressive learning and meet curriculum standards.
  • Teach accounting principles, basic economics, and commerce concepts in a clear and structured manner, helping students understand their relevance in daily life and business environments.
  • Assess and monitor student progress using various formal and informal methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages inquiry, problem-solving, and active participation.
  • Incorporate educational tools and technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain curriculum coherence and support cross-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Participate in school activities, co-curricular programmes, parent‑teacher meetings, and other community‑building events.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in commercial studies education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Prinsip Perakaunan, Ekonomi Asas, and/or Perdagangan at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject‑matter knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver lessons in an engaging, student‑friendly manner.
  • Passion for fostering student growth, independence, and a positive learning attitude.
