Lexel International School is a Taylor’s Education Group initiative to make private K-12 education more affordable and accessible to families through the offering of a holistic educational experience at an accessible price point. This stems from our strong belief that every child deserves access to quality education.
We bring international Cambridge education to a broader audience and thus empower more families to give their children the tools to succeed in a rapidly evolving world. Our school will focus on cultivating lifelong learners, instilling a sense of community responsibility, and equipping students with the critical thinking skills necessary for tomorrow’s challenges.
We are a member of Taylor's Education Group (TEG) which also comprises Taylor’s University, Taylor's College, Garden International School, Australian International School Malaysia, Taylor's International School KL & Puchong, Nexus International School Putrajaya and Nexus International School Singapore.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Principal to lead the launch and growth of its new, affordable, high-quality K-12 campus in Gamuda Cove in September 2026. This will be the second campus for Lexel following the successful opening of Lexel at Gamuda Gardens in September 2025.

Academic Leadership
- Provide curricular leadership by guiding and managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s curriculum, to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals, adherence to international educational standards, and meeting the needs of students.
- Fostering a challenging, effective and holistic international educational experience for students with the goal of exceptional academic outcomes.
- Develop and implement a pragmatic program of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, catering to diverse student interests and promoting holistic development.
- Establish the School Leadership Team to regularly review the educational practice, relevant curriculum content and assessment of educational quality.
- Recruit, orientate, develop, and mentor a diverse team of educators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Develop a systematic methodology to monitor and evaluate student progress and, including successful usage of the Lexel-standard systems such as Powerschool, Schoology, and PowerBuddy.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the school master calendar.
- Supervise and approve student field trips, school assemblies, parent‑teacher conferences, and other school events.
- Implement Lexel and Taylor’s policies and handbooks as appropriate and contribute to the further development of Lexel platform standards.
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships across the TEG network to strengthen academic quality and staff capability.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with Taylor’s leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the establishment the new school, building off the existing campus implementation at Gamuda Gardens.
- Establish a strong brand identity and value proposition for the new school, attracting students and families seeking affordable, high‑quality education.
- Identify and implement growth opportunities, including potential expansion to new locations or the addition of new programs.
- Obtain and maintain the school accreditations.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Programme Management.
Operational Leadership
- Deliver the campus operating plan and budget, ensuring financial sustainability and sound resource allocation to support learning and wellbeing
- Actively promote the school to drive student enrolment by providing campus leadership over marketing & admissions daily execution and parent experience.
- Lead the campus Operations and Finance & Administration functions through clear priorities and routines, ensuring compliance with TEG procurement, financial controls and policies & procedures.
- Ensure campus facilities, safety, and daily operations support a safe, high‑functioning learning environment.
- Maintain accurate student records and campus compliance readiness for audits and inspections.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with parents, fostering open communication and collaboration to support student success.
- Engage with local community organizations and businesses, creating partnerships that enrich the educational experience for students.
- Represent the school at public events and within the broader educational community, building awareness and support for the new brand.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful leadership experience in a K-12 school setting.
- Deep understanding of the Malaysian education system and the Cambridge curriculum.
- Experience implementing innovative educational models, including hybrid or blended learning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English
Additional Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working in international schools or with international curricula.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Strong business acumen and experience managing budgets and operations.
