A leading IT solutions firm in Malaysia is seeking a Pre Sales Technical Consultant to provide essential support to the sales team, develop and design tailored solutions, and conduct thorough market analyses. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a proactive mindset to thrive in a dynamic environment. This role involves collaborating across various teams, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, and maintaining an understanding of current IT trends.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in Pre Sales preferably in IT systems & solution space.
  • Demonstrable experience in IT Systems, Storage, Client, Infrastructure, Data Centre, AI-related transformation.
  • A self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions.
  • Excellent awareness of current IT trends (Cloud/Private Cloud/Infrastructure).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the sales team for effective selling.

  • Provide technical support to the sales team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively sell our solutions.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
  • Assist in the creation of sales proposals, RFP responses, and other sales collateral.
  • Engage with key Resellers & key Customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical workshops to showcase the capabilities of our solutions.
  • Support the sales team in pre‑sales activities, including product demonstrations and proposals.
  • Align with Principal in terms of their area of focus and be the subject matter of expertise in the brands under your portfolio
  • Solution Design and Architecture:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to design and architect comprehensive solutions leveraging Dell Portfolio products, Red Hat, Weka, and Equinix.
    • Develop detailed technical designs and architecture documents.
    • Ensure solutions meet business requirements, performance criteria, and scalability needs.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis:
    • Conduct regular market and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies and their potential impact on our solutions.
    • Position our solutions effectively in the market to maximize adoption and revenue.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and support, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • Support sales teams in pre‑sales activities, including product demonstrations and proposals.
    • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product
Ideal Profile:
  • At least 5 year(s) of sales experience in Pre Sales preferably in IT systems & solution space.
  • Demonstrable experience in IT Systems, Storage, Client, Infrastructure, Data Centre, AI related transformation.
  • A self‑starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
