The Role: Power Solution Engineer

The Power Solution Engineer – ADMS plays a key role in supporting the deployment, configuration, validation, and optimization of Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) solutions for utility customers. This position combines power systems engineering, grid operations knowledge, and software application skills to deliver modern Digital Grid capabilities including real‑time monitoring, control, optimization, and network modeling.

The role is open to both fresh graduates with strong fundamentals in power systems and experienced engineers (3–5 years) seeking technical ownership opportunities in ADMS, DMS, or grid modernization projects.

What will you do?

1. ADMS Configuration & Power System Modeling

  • Support development, validation, and maintenance of distribution network models (GIS import, load modeling, topology validation).
  • Configure ADMS applications such as FLISR, VVO, state estimation, load flow, fault location, switching workflows, and network analysis tools.
  • Conduct model tuning, scenario simulation, and power system studies required for customer deployments.

2. Solution Delivery & Project Execution

  • Participate in ADMS implementation lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
  • Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and customer demonstrations.
  • Prepare engineering documents including configuration guides, test plans, network model reports, and solution specifications.
  • For experienced hires: Lead specific workstreams and ensure deliveries meet engineering quality standards.

3. Customer Engagement & Support

  • Work closely with utility engineers to understand operational requirements, grid behaviors, constraints, and use cases.
  • Provide technical support during deployment, cutover, Go-Live, and stabilization phases.
  • Conduct training sessions or walkthroughs for customer power system teams as required.
  • For experienced hires: Serve as subject matter expert (SME) support for specific ADMS applications or power analysis topics.

4. Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with IT/Deployment teams in the design of integrations interfaces related to OMS, Crew Management and Switching Management with external enterprise systems.
  • Work alongside product, QA, and system integration teams to resolve technical issues and enhance solution performance.
  • Provide field feedback to product teams for feature improvements, usability, and model accuracy.

5. Continuous Learning & Improvement

  • Stay updated on distribution of grid modernization, ADMS functions, DER integration, and evolving utility operations.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge repositories, modeling practices, and engineering playbooks.
  • For experienced hires: Mentor junior engineers or graduates joining the team.
