Job description

To oversee and coordinate daily poultry farm operations, ensuring optimal bird health, welfare, and productivity. The Poultry Farm Supervisor is responsible for supervising farm workers, monitoring production, maintaining biosecurity, and coordinating with the veterinary and technical teams to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Farm Operations Management

   Supervise all daily poultry farm activities (feeding, watering, weighing, vaccination, and cleaning).

   Monitor and record flock performance parameters such as feed intake, growth rate, mortality, and feed conversion ratio (FCR).

   Ensure proper implementation of feeding programs and production schedules.

   Coordinate with the feedmill or supplier to ensure timely delivery of feed and materials.

   Maintain accurate inventory of feed, medicines, and farm supplies.

2. Staff Supervision & Training

   Supervise and schedule farm workers’ daily tasks and responsibilities.

   Train new and existing staff on farm procedures, animal welfare, and safety standards.

   Monitor staff performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies.

   Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.

3. Biosecurity & Health Management

   Enforce strict biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.

   Work closely with veterinarians to implement vaccination and treatment programs.

   Report any unusual mortality or disease symptoms immediately.

4. Record Keeping & Reporting

   Maintain accurate records on production, mortality, feed usage, and medication.

   Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.

5. Equipment & Facility Maintenance

   Ensure farm equipment and facilities are in good working condition.

   Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.

6. Compliance & Safety

   Ensure all operations comply with animal welfare regulations and environmental guidelines.

   Promote and maintain a safe working environment for staff.

7. Ad-hoc Duties

   Accept any other ad-hoc duties assignment from superior when needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Science/Animal Husbandry or equivalent.
• Veterinary qualification is an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, in verbal and written for Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
