About the Role
We are looking for a hands‑on PLC Engineer who can handle both PLC programming and on‑site system wiring. This role requires strong knowledge of automation hardware, control panels, electrical wiring, and PLC logic development.
You will be responsible for designing, programming, assembling, wiring, testing, and commissioning automation systems for machines, equipment, and industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop PLC programs (Siemens, Omron, Allen‑Bradley, Mitsubishi, or others depending on project).
- Design and modify electrical control circuits and wiring layouts.
- Perform wiring, termination, and troubleshooting of control panels, field devices, sensors, I/O modules, relays, and drives.
- Install, test, and commission automation systems on‑site.
- Create HMI/SCADA screens and interface logic.
- Diagnose issues in PLC logic, communication, I/O modules, or wiring faults.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&ID, and wiring schematics.
- Work with mechanical/electrical teams to ensure complete system integration.
- Ensure safety compliance according to industrial electrical standards.
Requirements
- Hands‑on experience in PLC programming and hardware wiring.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, panels, sensors, solenoids, relays, and VFDs.
- Ability to read and design electrical schematics.
- Experience with one or more PLC brands:
- Siemens
- Omron
- Mitsubishi
- Allen‑Bradley
- Beckhoff
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and electrical systems.
- Able to travel to site for installation and commissioning when required.
Added Advantages
- Experience in automation panel design and fabrication.
- Experience with safety PLCs or safety relays.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial networking.
- Basic understanding of pneumatics or hydraulics.
- Familiarity with instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature sensors).
