Job description

Plan, coordinate, and control the daily operations of the plastic injection molding department to meet production schedules.

Monitor machine and manpower utilization to maximize output and minimize downtime.

Ensure that production targets, cycle times, and output quality meet company standards.

Analyze and improve injection molding processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Provide technical support in mold setup, parameter setting, troubleshooting, and material usage.

Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and scrap.

Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.

Work closely with the QA department to investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.

Enforce adherence to ISO, 5S, and safety standards.

Lead and supervise a team of technicians, operators, and supervisors within the injection molding department.

Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for production staff.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for injection machines and molds.

Ensure proper documentation and timely maintenance to avoid unplanned downtime.

Maintain accurate production records, downtime reports, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) tracking.

Generate and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in plastic injection molding, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of plastic materials (PP, ABS, PC, Nylon, etc.) and injection molding machines (e.g., Toshiba, Haitian, Engel).

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, machine parameters, and molding specifications.

Familiar with ISO 9001, 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing principles.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with automation in injection molding (e.g., robotic arms, conveyors).

Knowledge of ERP or MES systems for production tracking.

Hands‑on experience in mold trial and troubleshooting.
