What You Will Do

Responsible to lead and motivate a high-performing physical distribution team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives. The person ensures the flow of goods to maximize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The person also analyzes and manages inventory levels, distribution networks, and shipping operations by identifying bottlenecks, implementing process improvements, and adapting to changing market conditions or consumer trends to maintain a seamless supply chain that supports the overarching goals of the business.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Optimization
  • To ensure customer & consumer expectations are, and will be, properly fulfilled in quantity, quality, and time incompliance with defined Service Level Agreement.
  • Fosters a demand driven supply chain with Service level, On-Shelf-Availability & Availability-to-Purchase as a priority
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance coordination within Operations and business teams
  • Develop & implement a sustainable, cost effective & agile fulfillment Network for short and long-term solutions to meet budgetary objectives
  • Continuously analyze warehousing, transportation, and customs processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization, lead-time reduction, and environmental impact minimization.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to develop and implement solutions that enhance the speed, efficiency, and agility of our supply chain, enabling us to respond effectively to evolving market demands.
  • Evaluate and implement logistics technologies to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of logistics technology.
Warehouse Management
  • Define the Capex & Opex budget to size the needed resources to manage the operations in compliance with (S-SHE&Q) standards as well as with L’Oréal policies, procedures, and business continuity management
  • Optimize warehouse layout, implement efficient processes, and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to maximize productivity and space utilization.
  • Monitoring day to day Distribution Centre operations in line with L’Oréal business requirements and standards.
  • Monitoring and reporting of warehousing cost in line with budget. Driving cost reduction initiative while improving customer SLA
  • 3PL operations KPI and performance Monitoring. Monthly operational and quarterly Business reviews.
  • Audit Compliance as per L’Oréal Policies – Inventory, Social, EHS & Internal Audits.
  • Represent L'Oréal within the external eco-system and involve them to implement strategies to meet local compliance and regulatory, along with Solidarity Sourcing and L4TF objectives
  • Ensure L4TF Initiatives for Waste, Energy, Water Consumption and C02 are implemented.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in the Physical Distribution, Warehouse, Transport and/or eCommerce sector.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Excel for data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of forecasting and quantitative techniques to inform decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex supply chain challenges.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff effectively to achieve supply chain objectives.
