Job summary

A leading pharmacy chain in Kuala Lumpur seeks a passionate individual to join as a Pharmacy Assistant. The role involves providing professional advice on health and beauty care, assisting with drug dispensing, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have at least a Diploma in Pharmacy, exhibit strong customer service skills, and be able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia. The position requires shift work, including weekends and public holidays.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice and service in pharmaceutical care as well as general advice on health and beauty care to customers.
  • Assist the pharmacist in dispensing drugs and other duties.
  • Be an ambassador of BIG Pharmacy in providing great customer experience.
  • Attend to customers’ inquiries in a professional manner, helping customers in identifying and purchasing required products.
  • Engage customers in a friendly conversation and suggestive up selling.
  • Ensure product display and visibility according to merchandising and inventory guidelines.
  • Manage and monitor inventory, stock, and expired products.
  • Ensure stock availability and provide alternative if necessary.
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and displays.
  • Assist on goods receiving, replenishment and stock take.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and security at all time.
  • Able to do cashiering tasks.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as and when assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Possess minimum Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent (candidates without related qualification shall be considered as Sales Assistant role).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Having a friendly and engaging personality.
  • Outspoken, strong customer service skills and sales-oriented mindset.
  • Required language: English, Bahasa Malaysia (those with Mandarin language skill will be an added advantage)
  • Able to work on shifts rotation, weekends, and public holidays.
