A healthcare organization in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a registered pharmacist to ensure safe and legal dispensing of medications while managing pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in pharmacy, be a registered pharmacist, and possess experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably with oncology. This role includes leading and developing the pharmacist team, monitoring therapy outcomes, and providing professional advice. Ensure safe, accurate, and legal dispensing of medications in compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and contraindications.
Provide professional advice and counselling to patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
Monitor medication therapy outcomes and report adverse drug reactions when necessary.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medicines, including controlled drugs.
Operational & Compliance Management
Maintain pharmacy licenses, permits, records, and statutory documentation.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, expiry monitoring, and wastage reduction.
Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance processes.
Prepare for and manage audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.
Lead, supervise, and develop pharmacist team.
Foster a positive, professional, and compliant work environment.
Ensure staff adhere to professional ethics and company policies.
Business & Financial Management
Monitor pharmacy performance, KPIs, and operational costs.
Control expenses, minimize losses, and improve workflow efficiency.
Support business growth initiatives, services expansion, and patient care programs.
Prepare reports on pharmacy operations, compliance, and performance as required.
Work closely with doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
Handle patient complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
