Job summary

A leading medical institution in Malaysia is seeking a Fully Registered Pharmacist (FRP) to work in Nuclear Pharmacy. Responsibilities include compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring quality control, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and managing radioactive materials inventory. Candidates should possess a recognized degree in pharmacy and preferably have training in nuclear pharmacy. Skills in aseptic dispensing, cleanroom operations, and knowledge of radiation protection policies are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Fully Registered Pharmacist in Malaysia.
  • Preferable to have training or certification in nuclear pharmacy.
  • All FRPs encouraged to apply with or without experience in Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Compound and dispense radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Ensure accuracy and precision in radiolabelling processes.
  • Manage inventory of radioactive materials.

Job description

Compound and dispense radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.

Ensure accuracy and precision in radio labelling processes to maintain product quality and integrity.

Manage inventory of radioactive materials and ensure proper storage and disposal procedures.

Conduct quality control tests on radiopharmaceuticals for potency, purity, and sterility.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Educate healthcare providers and patients on safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing nuclear pharmacy practice.

CDR Pharmacy:

Reconstitute and prepare chemotherapy drugs using aseptic techniques.

Ensure accurate verification, compounding, and documentation of cytotoxic preparations.

Maintain sterility and safety within cleanroom and biological safety cabinets.

Coordinate with oncologists, nurses, and pharmacists to ensure timely drug delivery.

Monitor stock levels of cytotoxic drugs and ensure proper inventory management.

Job Requirement:

Recognized Degree in Pharmacy by the Malaysia Pharmacy Board

Fully Registered Pharmacist (FRP)

Preferable has undergone training / certification in nuclear pharmacy

All FRPs are encouraged to apply with or without prior experience in the field of Nuclear Medicine or CDR.
