Job description

Responsibilities

• Developed and implemented performance test plans, participated in test strategy, test estimation, and planning discussions.
• Designed and developed performance test scripts and scenarios in accordance with the agreed test plan.
• Identification and creation of reusable test data, particularly for performance testing.
• Develop quality assurance standards and track quality assurance activities.
• Identity and configure the monitoring tool for performance testing.
• Review test results, support the identification of performance issues, and make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Compile performance analysis reports and conduct review sessions with all the stakeholders.
• Review and maintain all project documentation in accordance with department procedures.
• Assist with technical artifacts (such as use cases and system specifications) and engage in technical discussions.
• Assist with team training as needed and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of QA experience specializing in performance testing within the banking industry
• Strong hands-on experience with performance tools (LoadRunner, SiteScope, JMeter)
• Solid programming and scripting skills (C, Java, VB)
• Expertise in performance testing types (load, stress, volume, endurance)
• Strong understanding of system architecture, OS, JVM, databases, and performance metrics, web/application server architecture (Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, WebLogic), database management systems like DB2, Oracle, MySQL, JVM-related concepts and OS like UNIX, Linux, Windows, and VMware
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to understand complex systems, non-functional requirements, and technical risks
• Effective communication with stakeholders and mentoring of junior team members
