Job summary

A leading logistics and supply chain company in Malaysia is seeking a Performance Governance Manager to enhance governance frameworks for transport and logistics. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in BI tools. Responsibilities include managing KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating collaboration between stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication and detail-oriented abilities, ensuring compliance with service standards and corporate policies.

Job description

Establish, maintain, and continuously improve LLP governance frameworks covering transport, warehousing, customs brokerage, and value-added logistics services.

Define and monitor end-to-end KPIs and SLAs across all 3PL providers and functional segments (order management, inbound/outbound, final mile, etc.).

Lead monthly and quarterly performance governance reviews (MBR/QBR) with customers and service partners.

Drive accountability through performance scorecards, root cause analysis, and action plans for non-conformance.

Performance Analytics & Reporting

Develop and manage centralized dashboards consolidating all 3PL/LLP performance metrics.

Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and cost/service optimization opportunities.

Provide insights to support decision-making on provider performance, cost-to-serve, and service reliability.

Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of reporting to both internal leadership and customer stakeholders.

Champion continuous improvement projects focused on service reliability, cost efficiency, and process simplification.

Introduce standardized performance templates, governance routines, and improvement frameworks across multiple service providers.

Lead cross-functional workshops to align performance measures and improvement targets.

Where possible integrate Lean and Six Sigma methodologies into performance reviews and process change initiatives.

Partner & Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the central performance governance link between the LLP, customers, and all 3PL partners.

Facilitate alignment between operations, customer service, finance, and planning to ensure service continuity and consistent standards.

Build strong working relationships with service providers to promote a collaborative, performance-driven culture.

Support tender evaluations and contract renewals with performance data and benchmarking insights.

Ensure all performance management activities comply with contractual obligations, corporate policies, and HSSE standards.

Lead performance audits to ensure adherence to governance routines and continuous compliance with service standards.

Support risk assessments by tracking and mitigating performance deviations that may impact service or cost.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Achieving and or exceeding agreed upon LLP KPIs
  • Service reliability rate (On-time, In-full, Delivery accuracy)
  • Customer satisfaction / NPS improvement year-on-year
  • Compliance to governance cadence (MBR/QBR completion rate)
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Industrial Engineering.

5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or performance governance (preferably within LLP / 4PL / multi-3PL management environment).

Strong analytical background with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.

Experience with SAP is a plus.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and external service providers.

Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence frameworks experience is a plus point.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with executive-level reporting exposure.

Detail-oriented, data-driven, and adept at influencing without direct authority.
