We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payment Operations Specialist to join our fast-growing fintech operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, stability, and efficiency of our payment processes across multiple regions.
You will be responsible for end-to-end payment execution, transaction integrity, system monitoring, and operational improvement. This position requires close collaboration with Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver seamless payment experiences for global users.
This role operates on rotational shifts (Morning / Night / Midnight), with work-from-home flexibility provided for night and midnight shifts.
Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Process and monitor daily payments, wallet top-ups, withdrawals, and refunds. Ensure all transactions are executed in a timely, accurate, and secure manner. Liaise with banks, PSPs, and payment gateways to resolve transaction issues efficiently. Support partner onboarding and conduct performance evaluations.
- Risk, Compliance & Control: Review withdrawal requests and monitor suspicious or abnormal transaction activities. Escalate potential fraud, AML concerns, or policy breaches as required. Ensure adherence to internal controls and regional regulatory requirements. Monitor payment system performance to ensure uptime and operational stability. Participate in UAT testing and escalate technical incidents for timely resolution. Prepare daily and monthly transaction reports and reconciliation statements. Assist in variance investigation and help maintain accurate financial records.
- Process Improvement: Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in fintech, payments, e-wallets, or banking operations.
- Strong understanding of payment flows, PSP operations, settlement cycles, compliance, and risk controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, payment dashboards, or reconciliation tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of APIs or payment system structures is preferred.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficient in English and other languages for effective communication with regional teams.
