Job summary

A leading agricultural machinery company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Parts Inventory Manager. In this role, you will oversee and manage inventory, ensure stock accuracy through software systems, and lead a team. The ideal candidate should have a tertiary education and at least 5 years of inventory management experience, preferably in the industrial or agricultural sector. Frequent travel within Malaysia and Indonesia is required. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Job description

We are a well-established company engaged in the sales and servicing of leading brands of agricultural machinery in Malaysia i.e. Landini & Yanmar. We are seeking to immediately hire an experienced Parts Inventory Manager to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage parts inventory in Malaysia.
  • Maintain accuracy of stocks using computer software and barcode system.
  • Conduct regular audits and stock reconciliations across all storage locations.
  • Able to analyse parts needs and plan purchases at the optimal level.
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies to improve turnover, reduce urgent orders, and minimise excess or obsolete stock.
  • Conduct regular site visits to branches to perform random inventory spot checks and assess compliance with inventory best practices and housekeeping standards.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management, preferably within the industrial or agricultural machinery sector.
  • Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with ERP inventory systems.
  • Capable of working independently and leading a team of inventory staff.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently within Malaysia and Indonesia when necessary.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
