Job summary

A prominent automotive company in Malaysia is hiring for a Parts Manager to handle parts enquiries and quotations, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure inventory management. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum SPM or Diploma in Automotive, Business, or a related field, have experience in automotive aftersales operations, and be proficient in inventory control systems. This role offers a chance to contribute significantly to our Body & Paint operations and provide excellent support to service teams.

  • Minimum SPM/Diploma in Automotive, Business, or related fields.
  • Experience in parts management, automotive aftersales, or Body & Paint operations is preferable.
  • Familiarity with Proton parts system or any automotive parts catalogue.

Job description
Responsibilities

Handle daily parts enquiries, quotations, and parts identification for Body & Paint jobs.

Coordinate with suppliers and Proton HQ to order required parts on time.

Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels, including conducting regular stock checks and inventory audits.

Verify parts received against invoices, delivery orders, and system entries.

Issue parts to technicians based on job requirements and ensure proper documentation in the system.

Liaise with the B&P team to ensure accurate parts sourcing for insurance claims and repair estimates.

Prepare and update weekly/monthly parts usage reports.

Manage parts returns, warranty claims, and defective items according to Proton SOP.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and housekeeping of all B&P parts.

Provide excellent support to service advisors, technicians, and customers regarding parts availability and

  • Minimum SPM/Diploma in Automotive, Business, or related fields.
  • Experience in parts management, automotive aftersales, or Body & Paint operations is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Proton parts system (PICS) or any automotive parts catalogue.
  • Strong organization and inventory control skills.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, inventory systems).
