A leading global organization in Malaysia is seeking an Order to Cash (OTC) Accountant to ensure timely financial processes. The role involves executing OTC operations, preparing payment files, and managing cash positions. The Order to Cash (OTC) Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial and accounting processes within the Shared Service Center (SSC). The role involves supporting the OTC Manager and ensuring high-quality services for the entities serviced by the SSC. Execute end-to-end OtC processes, including payment processing, bank statement posting, allocations, and cash planning.
Ensure accurate financial postings in compliance with global accounting standards and SSC policies.
Monitor and maintain key balance sheet accounts (cash, bank, AR, and fleet-related accounts).
Allocate incoming and outgoing payments within agreed SLAs; follow up on unallocated or unclear payments.
Maintain and optimize Auto Bank/automated clearing settings to improve straight-through processing.
Prepare, validate, and review payment run files for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure timely payment approvals in line with the Group Finance Manual.
Update customer and vendor bank account details accurately and promptly.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate reflection of bank balances.
Maintain updated bank accounts, user access, signatories, and approvers according to governance requirements.
Coordinate training and onboarding for new system users on bank-related processes.
Use Group Liquidity Planning tools to assess and manage cash positions.
Collaborate with Financial Business Partners (FBPs) and Group Treasury to execute short-term and long-term liquidity plans.
Provide transparency on cash forecast accuracy and propose funding solutions when required.
Execute tasks adhering to the ICS (Internal Control System) framework and internal control requirements.
Monitor compliance gaps and elevate issues to relevant stakeholders.
Support internal and external audits by providing OTC-related documentation and addressing audit queries.
Identify opportunities to automate or enhance OTC processes using digital tools and technologies (e.g., SAP features, RPA, BI tools).
Challenge existing workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service quality.
Participate in global standardization and optimization projects.
Act as a trusted business partner to entities, treasury teams, FBPs, and other internal stakeholders.
Provide process insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
Support onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing within the OTC team and cross‑functional groups.
Contribute to building a collaborative, efficient, and service‑oriented team environment.
