Overview
Leading the strategic and operational planning processes to optimize resources, improve efficiency, and ensure the organization meets its production, service and financial goals. The job covers the supply chain activities for production operations and outsourced partners. Set direction to planners and buyers, and work with Sales & Marketing and Corporate Supply Chain related to supply prioritization to meet customer satisfactions, include drive for expedited activities. Analyze, report, monitor, and drive for improvement for Build Plan, Inventory report and KPIs through cross-functional process and system improvement – On Time Delivery, Product Availability, Revenue Attainment, & Improvement Projects.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive production, resource, and capacity plans to meet business targets.
- Lead Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process and update.
- Analyze customer demand and translate to working plan.
- Inventory management and ownership.
- Take ownership of operational planning process and continue to improve in process and system enhancement, with Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
- Responsible for Oracle Distribution Plan accuracy and the parameter setting.
- Coach, guide and manage a team of planners and supply chain team in their daily task and problem solving.
- Point of escalations to resolve customer delivery issues such as supply allocation to avoid customer line down, develop & execute supply recovery plan and provide management update.
- Establish development plan for the planners and supply chain team.
- Ensure proper resources alignment amongst the team, and continuously improve productivity to maintain the same resources to be able to handle more business or value add job, and plan for appropriate back up for each planners & supply chain team.
- Perform other duties as requested from time to time.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Business Administration Management; Economics; Supply Chain & Logistics or other relevant courses.
- Total working experience of 10 years in Supply Chain operations, such as planning, procurements, and manage outsourcing operations. Possess experience in supervising a team of exempt staff and junior managers.
- Knowledge/Hands on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), APS (Advance Planning System), Demantra and OBIEE. Experience in Oracle would be an advantage.
Skills
- Good negotiation and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of organization, counterpart from Knowles sites, customers and suppliers.
- Must be good in computer spreadsheet applications.
- Situational Leadership Skill. Participative & Democratic leadership styles are most suitable for this organization. Autocratic leadership are required only when facing un-mature workers occasionally.
- Business Acumen Skill. Understand the importance of prioritization by different category of customers and how to support and allocate supply and resources to support each customers appropriately. Having an intuitive in understanding of how companies make money and a realization that a compelling vision that can be effectively translated into an actionable strategy.
