Job summary

A retail management company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily retail operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves ensuring operational efficiency, managing stock levels, and leading store managers and staff. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in retail operations, strong leadership skills, and experience managing multiple outlets is preferred. Mandarin-speaking is a plus as the role involves communicating with clients. Willingness to work in Papua New Guinea is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations including sales, merchandising, inventory, logistics and customer service.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, cost control and achievement of sales targets.
  • Monitor stock levels, purchasing, replenishment, shrinkage control and stock accuracy.
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensure compliance across both outlets.
  • Lead and manage Store Managers, Department Heads and frontline staff performance.
  • Plan manpower requirements, staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Handle operational issues, on-site staff issues, customer complaints and incident management.
  • Work closely with Finance, HR and Procurement departments.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to Management.
  • Ensure safety & security, compliance with company policies, safety standards and local regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in store operations and customer experience.
