Operations Manager (F&B - Japanese Chain Restaurant)

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of all sushi restaurant outlets to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent performance.
  • Execute, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with the Company's service and food standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food presentation, taste, portioning, and service across all locations.
  • Quality & Food Safety Control: Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain high standards for seafood handling, freshness, storage, and preparation.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and quality checks across outlets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Restaurant Managers, Chefs, and Operations teams.
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of operational staff.
  • Promote a culture of discipline, teamwork, omotenashi (Japanese hospitality), and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and control operational costs, including food cost, labor cost, and wastage.
  • Analyze P&L reports and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Work closely with procurement to manage supplier performance and pricing.
  • Business Growth & Expansion: Support new outlet openings, including site readiness, staffing, and operational setup.
  • Collaborate with senior management on expansion strategies and operational scalability.
  • Implement best practices to support growth while maintaining brand integrity.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within the Food & Beverage (Restaurant), preferably in a Japanese chain restaurant environment.
  • Strong background in multi-outlet operations, including SOPs development and implementation covering upselling strategies, service quality standards, and table/service preparation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage frontline teams in a fast-paced, structured chain restaurant environment.
