Description
- Perform daily operational BAU consisting of but not limited to trade processing, trade settlements, trade reconciliation, corporate actions exercise, and all other operation matters which may relate to any products offered by the Company.
- Check and verify all trade transactions are completed; settlements instructions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review all trade matching reports and ensure all failed trades are promptly resolved.
- Ensure funding sufficiency for trade settlement.
- Processing of Settlement/Corporate action events in an accurate, timely manner and adhere to deadlines.
- Reconciliation trade/shares, corporate actions.
- Liaise closely with relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance in all operational areas.
- Interpret data and make necessary recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms.
- Adhering to control procedures, manage the escalation and seek to resolve all requests/inquiries/issues/errors, identify policy gaps and formulate policies to streamline processes.
- Involved in cross functional projects which may require operations involvement in the process.
- Participate in other projects, new products and other initiatives including take up ad hoc tasks as required.
- To support any group initiatives and projects.
- Any other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Profile
A successful Operations Manager should have:
- Diploma or University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related disciplines.
- 5 years' relevant experience within the Brokerage & Finance industry, preferable with 1 year people management experience.
- Operational subject matter expertise in lifecycle trade support flow, settlement, transaction processing and reconciliations in Securities listed on local and foreign exchanges.
- Able to read and speak Mandarin to support Greater China. (MUST HAVE)
- Proactive approach to identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
