Job description

As an Operation Associate Engineer at FPG Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our chemical production facility in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a full-time position that will challenge you to apply your technical expertise in chemical engineering to optimize our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

Operate the plant in a safe, reliable, and economic manner on a shift basis and know how their work is linked to compelling plant business needs.

Lead troubleshooting in the process area by using loss elimination tools and initiating technical improvements related to process reliability and efficiency.

Identify opportunities in the respective area & deliver results on schedule.

Ensure self and contractors’ compliance to all Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Internal Control & Security requirements.

Own the Run to Target Daily Management System in the team and perform health checks as per the required frequency.

Own equipment in the process and ensure equipment owned complies with Autonomous Maintenance Step 4 and above requirement.

Own system loop(s) and ensure process stability using Autonomous Maintenance tools.

Participate in all Run to Target Daily Management System activities (e.g., Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, Defect Handling, Centerline, Incident Elimination, Final Product Quality, etc.) in the team.

To operate the plant process and activities within Key Performance Indicator target (i.e.: Maintenance, Cost, Chemical usage).
