Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an Online Portuguese Teacher to provide customized online lessons to our clients.

What We Offer

You will have an active and independent role as a language teacher. Once onboarded, you’ll have access to the teachers’ platform and receive offers. With the assistance of your Talent Success Coach, you can accept the classes that match your schedule and preferences. You have complete control over your lessons, and we don’t require a minimum number of hours weekly or monthly.

• Availability: Saturday morning
• Preferred start date: Mid- January 2026
• Lesson Frequency: 1x may increase
• Lesson Duration: 1h
• Current Location/ Time Zone: South Africa
• Preferred platform: Zoom
• Current target language level: advanced
• Language spoken at home: Shanghainese, Mandarin, English
• Student’s language needs and goals: Business language, greetings. culture language, day-to-day language. basic greeting in the local language
• Additional information: He’ll be based in South Africa but managing six markets including Mozambique

Responsibilities

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners towards learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• To have a minimum of two years of experience teaching Portuguese
