What role you will play in the team

  • We are looking for a highly motivated process engineer that seeks to make an impact with us as we work to solve some of society's most challenging problems. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced engineers, scientists, project managers, and many more
  • As an experienced process engineer, you will be given the opportunity to solve challenging problems across process safety, reliability, profitability, and sustainability
  • You will leverage a strong technology foundation and provide a global fleet ExxonMobil perspective into your work products
  • You will also identify new opportunities and technologies to innovate while improving process efficiency
  • You will have opportunities to interact with peers in refining, derivative chemical units and polymer units
What you will do
  • Apply personnel and process safety principles in manufacturing facilities across the globe
  • Using fundamental chemical engineering principles, work with others to provide design knowledge for steam crackers
  • As required, participate in troubleshooting and development teams with other professionals to address complex technical issues
  • Apply fundamentals to assist sites in advanced troubleshooting and deployment of new technologies
  • Apply risk management for new designs, projects, and technologies
  • Train/mentor less experienced engineers in relevant skills
  • Assist operating sites with unit start‑up, troubleshooting and performance evaluations
  • Proactively engage with various global interfaces in ExxonMobil to identify opportunities and propose innovative solutions to drive business value
  • Interface with key 3rd party vendors and suppliers
  • Some domestic and international travel to other sites within the ExxonMobil fleet
  • Lead deployment of fleet initiatives across ExxonMobil's facilities for profit margin improvement, energy and OPEX efficiencies
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferably 5‑10 years (or more) of experience working in an olefins plant, refinery or similar
