Amkor Technology – Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor

Source and purchase indirect materials, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), and equipment based on production needs.

Ensure timely and sufficient supply of materials to avoid production delays.

Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and negotiations to secure favorable terms.

Inventory & Risk Management

Analyze inventory levels and implement action plans to prevent excess or aging stock.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted support during production volume changes.

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare weekly/monthly procurement KPI reports.

Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and industry regulations.

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers.

Conduct supplier qualification, performance reviews, and compliance checks.

Maintain positive relationships while resolving performance issues.

Drive supplier development initiatives and manage risk.

Cost Optimization & Negotiation

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings.

Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities.

Support annual price negotiations and contract renewals.

Implement cost-reduction initiatives and leverage spend across categories.

Data & System Management

Maintain accurate purchasing data in SAP systems.

Analyze procurement data to identify savings and improve processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with internal departments (Engineering, Production, Facilities, IT, HR, Finance) to understand needs and deliver solutions.

Communicate supplier updates and decisions to management.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Science or related field.

Experience: 2–3 years in indirect procurement or sourcing (preferably in semiconductor or electronics industry).

Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Proficiency in SAP systems, MS Office. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Vendor management and compliance knowledge.

Preferred Background
