Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and maintain IP/MPLS, routing, and switching infrastructure in a service provider and enterprise environment.
  • Deliver HLD/LLD/MOP/As-built and similar documents.
  • Implement and support BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and related SP technologies.
  • Assist in the planning and operation of transmission systems, including DWDM, OTN, and SDH (preferred).
  • Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network availability.
  • Apply fundamental cybersecurity best practices in day-to-day operations.
  • Deploy Cybersecurity solutions based on Fortinet and F5 products.
  • Work closely with NOC, operations, and engineering teams to resolve incidents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: network diagrams, configurations and change records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide Level 2/3 support when needed.
  • Deployment project plans, installation and implementation coordination, hands‑on configuration, end‑to‑end testing of carrier grade/class networks.
  • Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering technical inquiries through email and/or phone support.
  • On‑call, on‑site support to rectify faults and outages in accordance with the specified response and resolution time’s KPIs.
  • Provide technical insights, short term and long term fault resolutions to address customer expectations and KPIs based on the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Manage sub‑contractors and ensure they deliver services as per agreed scope of work.
  • To provide contractor and/or stakeholder technical trainings for skills upgrade and implementation/roll‑out support.
  • To provide peer training to team members to enhance/upgrade existing skills as needed to support project technical issues.
  • Work closely with respective Project Teams from pre‑sales, planning and implementation on role‑play, round table discussions, best practice sharing, meeting to continuously support and maintain working process flow in order and according to project directions and KPIs.

  • Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
  • To adhere to internal and external requirements on business ethics and SOPs.
  • General Wireless, Networks, Cloud, Orchestration and Automation Engineering Support.
  • On‑call, stand‑by support if necessary and/or as project demands.
  • Validate solution in NECOMAL Lab before delivering to customers.
  • Maintain NECOMAL Lab by introducing new solutions and platforms.
  • Design & planning of network infrastructure: plan, design and implement wired (fiber / DWDM / optical) and wireless networks (LAN/WLAN/enterprise‑campus/WiFi), including routers, switches, controllers, wireless access points, optical transceivers, fiber‑route planning, etc.
  • Installation, configuration & deployment: set up network equipment (switches, routers, wireless APs/controllers, DWDM/optical gear, firewalls, load‑balancers, etc.), do the cabling or fiber termination or OSP (outside‑plant) work when needed (for fiber/optical networks), or wireless controller/AP configurations.
  • Network administration & maintenance: monitor and maintain the network (wired, wireless, DWDM/optical, telco links), ensure availability, perform upgrades, patches, firmware updates; manage network security (firewalls, VPNs, access control), VLANs, routing, etc.
  • Troubleshooting & incident management: diagnose and handle network issues, outages, fiber faults (for DWDM/fiber), connectivity problems, wireless network issues, optical link problems; coordinate with NOC, field teams, vendors, service providers for restoration.
  • Network capacity & performance planning: manage fiber‑network capacity, plan network expansion or upgrades, ensure fiber routes / links meet capacity and redundancy requirements, track usage and forecast demand.
  • Documentation & reporting: produce and maintain network diagrams, as‑built drawings, site surveys, change logs, SOPs, operational procedures, technical and site documentation.
  • Collaboration with vendors / third‑parties / service providers: coordinate with telecom carriers, vendors, engineers, field technicians during installation, maintenance, trouble‑tickets, on‑call support or project delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Fortinet NSE4 certification/level (required)
  • Cisco CCNP (R&S / Enterprise / Service Provider), Juniper JNCIP, Huawei HCIP or equivalent experience
  • Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS)
  • MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VRFs
  • VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, QoS
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco IOS/IOS‑XE/IOS‑XR, Juniper JunoOS and Fortigate FortiOS.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Web Filtering, UTM, hardening).
  • Familiarity with Service Provider network architectures, including backbone, aggregation, core/edge, and peering.
  • Understanding of network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, syslog).
  • Ability to provision, maintain and perform tasks on servers based on LINUX and WINDOWS Network Management Systems environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous hands‑on experience with Transmission / DWDM / OTN / SDH systems (Huawei, Ciena, Nokia, Infinera, etc.).
  • Experience with IPv6 deployment and dual‑stack operations.
  • Exposure to automation/scripting (Python, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of telecom infrastructure, fiber networks, or data center networking.
  • Experience working in ISP, telecom operator, or large service‑provider networks.
  • Wifi basic knowledge and deployment.
  • Segment Routing and SRv6.
