Job summary

A manufacturing firm based in Seberang Perai, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified individual to conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis and prepare mould designs for plastic injection. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Tool & Die or Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on experience in tool fabrication. Also preferred are knowledge of quality standards and experience with Moldflow and CAD/CAM software, as the role involves collaboration with production and quality teams to ensure optimum mould performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Tool & Die, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in tool fabrication and maintenance required.
• Practical knowledge of injection mould tooling advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DFM analysis for plastic injection moulds.
• Prepare and validate mould designs to meet production requirements.
• Support tooling fabrication and troubleshooting activities.

Skills

Hands-on experience in tool fabrication

Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards

Effective communication with teams
