Job summary

A leading palm oil mill in Malaysia, Pahang is seeking a qualified individual to oversee daily production activities while ensuring optimal resource utilization and compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will manage mill equipment, inventory levels, and foster strong relationships with stakeholders. Candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Petrochemical Engineering along with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the palm oil industrial sector, and hold a Steam Engineer's Certificate.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Petrochemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial sector preferably in palm oil mill.
• Must possess 1st Grade or 2nd Grade Steam Engineer's Certificate of competency.

Job description

Oversee daily production activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to achieved production targets and maintain quality standard.

Implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among mill staff.

Manage and maintain mill equipment, scheduling regular maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring efficiency supply chain management.

Provide leadership and direction to team members to achieve production objectives while promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Overseeing in FFB grading and quality control activities

Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all mill machinery, optimizing equipment efficiency and longevity.

Prepare and analyse production reports, identifying areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency enhancements.

Foster positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Ensure healthy yield of oil (OER) and kernel extraction rates (KER), production target and wastage management.

Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements. ie DOE, DOSH, Labour Department, MPOB, MSPO, & etcs.

Lead any Government accreditation requirements.

Ensure safe working environment and good housekeeping on the production floor.

To perform any other task or duties assigned by the management.
