About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Area Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for unmanaged merchant partners. Acting as the “Friend on the Ground,” you will build strong relationships, resolve challenges, and help merchants grow their businesses using our client’s tools and resources. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives on making a tangible impact in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Merchant Engagement Initiatives: Drive direct, face-to-face interactions with merchant partners, ensuring quality engagement and adherence to the Area Manager playbook.
  • Build and Nurture Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor, addressing operational issues promptly and educating merchants on available tools and features to enhance their business performance.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Track KPIs such as engagement rates, satisfaction scores, and tool adoption. Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Gather Market Insights: Become the local expert on merchant landscapes and competitive environments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product) to ensure seamless merchant experiences and advocate for partner needs.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Continuously refine processes, share best practices, and contribute to efficiency improvements.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or account management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin or Tamil is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of the local market and business landscape is a plus.
