Today, Sri Nona Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB), after a full acquisition on 4 November 2022.
What will you do?
- Comply with the safety protocols, minimize workplace hazards, and maintain a safe work environment. Promote industrial harmony and ensure compliance with all labour laws.
- Report any accident/incident/near miss to identify the root cause and propose corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform all the technical machinery operation complies with Department Of Safey & Health requirement / regulations.
- Lead in conducting risk assessment for HIRADC and EAEI.
Quality Management
- Lead the team on the technical related to the Quality Monitoring Scheme to ensure manufacturing process meeting the expectation on the food safety & quality aspects of control.
- Ensuring team’s compliance with food safety regulations and requirements in HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 by performing regular inspections, verifications, audits and maintaining precise documentation.
- Ensure that machineries operate efficiently and operation meeting with the quality requirements.
Supply Management
- Lead the mechanical team on daily maintenance routine ; maintenance planning, spare part inventory control to ensure production able to meet the require runtime.
- Leading the team to work out the corrective or preventive action on any deviation or machine breakdown that impacted the daily production output ; downtime in the relevant documents and files inclusive of routine meeting information board ; Daily Operation Review (DOR).
- Supervise and coordinate with the Production Team in developing and execution with the production planning to include preventive maintenance program, planned downtime or annual shutdown.
- Identifying and resolving downtime, such as breakdown, machine running lower than declared nominal rate and equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinate the team and coordinate with suppliers for critical spare parts and services.
- Carry out the diagnosis of complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic failures, etc., swiftly to minimize production disruption.
Cost Management
- Perform routine check and monitor for the machine parts and maintenance consumables purchase.
- Leading the team performing routine monitoring for inventory management i.e. spare parts stock count, consumption, reconciliation, material transfer.
People Management
- Train the technicians’ team, providing on-the-job training and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safe work practice, equipment protocols, and food hygiene standards.
- Coordinate and supervise the team on daily maintenance tasks and shift handovers.
General Management
- Coordinate the team to analyse potential technical problems by taking proactive action to resolve problems and escalation before its’ result in incompliance/loss time injury/process deviation/food safety issue/quality, issue/equipment failure/short supply/losses/complaint/damage company reputation.
- Supervise and advice the team in develop, maintain and improve the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure safety, quality, efficiency and cost meeting the requirements.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on production machinery (e.g., fillers, sealers, conveyors, pumps, PLC, etc) within an hour after receiving the Work Order. Extended troubleshooting hours shall be treated as critical cases and escalated following the SNFM Escalation Process.
- Prepare the necessary information for performance report and analyse the downtime information or data to identify the issue or area for improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Safety, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Store, Project) to to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality.
- Report to superior for any abnormality or non‑compliance action/activity.
- Perform any design modifications for equipment reliability and hygiene (e.g., material upgrades to SS316, improving cleanability, efficiency, etc).
- Implement Lean/TPM initiatives to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Engage on‑call support for breakdowns outside regular hours.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment settings and production data.
- Work with other team members, such as quality assurance personnel and production supervisors, to address production issues.
- Assist with the setup and operation of machinery and equipment for specific production runs.
- Carry out installation, commissioning, and validation of new mechanical equipment.
About you?
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering and/or minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines, and the ability to follow them.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing or similar industries.
- Familiar with and experienced in using problem‑solving tools.
- Knowledgeable about Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
