A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled technician to ensure machinery operates correctly and contributes to high-quality food production. The role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety protocols. Report any accident/incident/near miss to identify the root cause and propose corrective/preventive actions.
Ensuring that machinery is operating correctly and contributing to the production of high-quality food products.
Performing routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalation into breakdowns.
Diagnosing and resolving problems with mechanical systems and equipment, often involving electrical and hydraulic aspects.
Repairing or replacing faulty components, ensuring equipment is restored to optimal functionality.
Implementing and executing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment settings and production data.
Working with other team members, such as quality assurance personnel and production supervisors, to address production issues.
Assisting with the setup and operation of machinery and equipment for specific production runs.
Ensure team attend and contribute to relevant meeting related to the individual production line.
Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines, and the ability to follow them.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing or similar industries.
Familiar with and experienced in using problem-solving tools.
Knowledgeable about Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
