This position is responsible for evaluating and developing current or new products to meet specifications. Working with factory personnel, the technical product engineer leader is responsible for the integration of materials, methods, and tools necessary to bring new products and current products to meet safety, quality and market requirements & demands. Shall not be limited to above responsibilities but shall also include a task given to meet company management KPI & Strategy from time to time. Designs and tests. hydraulic systems; forecasts the effects on equipment, including expected wear and tear and degradation.
Key Accountabilities
- Engineering Design and Product Lifecycle Management: Evaluate, approve, and release new component designs for product improvement, safety, cost, and functionality; responsible for the design and update of the current product portfolio.
- Engineering Change Request (ECR) Coordination: Manage the full cycle of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), including daily checking, updating, assigning, filtering tasks, and liaising with respective departments to ensure changes are delivered on time and meet technical specifications.
- Process and Documentation Management: Establish, monitor, and update Product Engineering processes, workflows, and job descriptions; prepare and publish all required technical documentation and internal/external service bulletins.
- Cross-Functional Technical Consultation: Provide technical consultation and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, to ensure design quality, cost efficiency, and optimal product performance.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Establish, consult on, and evaluate test procedures for the quality assurance of finished products.
- Data and Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain the product database (including Parental data) in Vault and proactively maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning.
Job Requirements
- Education and General Experience: Possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Hydraulic System Expertise: Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components (pumps, valves, actuators), including knowledge of GD/T, industrial standards (ISO, ANSI), and design principles for hydraulics and transmission.
- Design and Data Management Proficiency: Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, preferably Inventor, for creating detailed drawings and schematics, and familiar with Product Data Management (PDM) systems. Experience in designing container handling equipment (spreaders) is a plus.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Documented experience in leading and managing people, with the ability to lead and inspire others while functioning as a self-driven, proactive, and target-oriented team member.
- Technical Reporting and Problem-Solving: Capability to write professional analytical and technical reports, coupled with experience in testing, troubleshooting existing system issues, and designing new systems to meet specific requirements.
- Project Management and Communication: Demonstrated project management and problem-solving mentality, focused on delivering results according to plan. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
