Responsibilities
- To prepare deliverables such as technical drawing, layout drawing, engineering data and other relevant documentations.
- To coordinate & provide technical support for project activities.
- To involve in the design, quality assurance, supervised installation & commissioning.
- Conduct site visits and technical evaluations to ensure proper mechanical system implementation.
- Assist in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause identification for mechanical issues.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with industry codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
Qualification & Competency
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, industry standards, and regulations such as ASME, API, ISO 9001, and AWS.
- Experience in conducting inspections, testing, and non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Ability to prepare and review QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Material Approval Submissions.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin, English and Malay. Must have relevant experience and be able in dealing with China supplier.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to multi‑task and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willing to travel locally and overseas based on project basis.
