Job description

Megapower Consultants provides both consulting and supervising services for electrical and mechanical systems with more than 25 years of experience in various construction projects. Our company undertakes planning, design, cost estimate, adjudication, supervision, management, coordination, and commissioning of various industrial factories, warehouses, commercial buildings, residential housing, etc.

The candidate will have excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure the application of technical rigor and best practices from conceptualization to execution.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To design and implement mechanical building services relevant to Firefighting system, HVAC/ACMV, Sanitary and Plumbing.
2. Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on their engineering requests.
3. To assist in overall project implementation from initial stage to final handover.
4. To attend all project meetings as and when required and to coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, etc.
5. Project management to ensure project is kept on schedule including supervision of work progress, resolving ground issues with contractors and relevant stakeholders.
6. Review project costs and provide technical advice to clients in project tendering.

Job Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

1. Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
2. 5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (Fire Fighting system, Air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, plumbing and sanitary system, lifts and escalators, etc.).
3. Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
4. Familiar with Fire Hydraulic Calculation calculation/software.
5. Able to work independently and liaise effectively with contractors and authorities.
6. Good command of English and Malay in speaking, reading, and writing.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Strong design experience in fire protection systems (e.g. sprinkler systems and in-rack sprinkler, foam/water monitors, etc.)
2. Experienced in handling projects in oleochemical plants or industrial factories.
